What does Amoxicillin treat?
Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic and is highly effective in treating a wide variety of bacterial infections such as gonorrhea, pneumonia, E. coli, infection, bladder infection, skin infections and ear infection. This happens to be the first line treatment for middle ear infections. This is also used in the treatment of ulcers in conjunction with other drugs. This may be used in other treatments based on the decision of your physician.

Amoxycillin is an oral medication to be consumed with a full glass of water. This can be taken along with food or on an empty stomach. Take this at the same time every day.
Missed a dose?
Take it immediately once you remember. In case, this time is closer to the next dosage, skip it and get back to the prescribed schedule. As far as possible, take care to see that you do not forget a dose as this can make you prone to further infection resistant to antibiotics.
