Ampicillin

Ampicillin is a penicillin antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections such as bladder infection, E. coli infection, ear infection, pneumonia, and gonorrhea. This medication kills the bacteria by interfering with the growth of its cell wall.

Recommended Dosage - Discount Prescription Drug Ampicillin

The dosage of Ampicillin prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.

Take Ampicillin with a full glass of water. It should be taken on an empty stomach.

Missed Dose of Ampicillin

If your physician has instructed or directed you to take Ampicillin medication in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses unless otherwise directed.

Overdose of Ampicillin

Any medication taken in excess can have serious consequences. If you suspect an overdose of Ampicillin, seek medical attention immediately. Some of the overdose symptoms of this drug are vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, and seizures.

Side Effects of Ampicillin
