What is Bimatoprost used for?
Bimatoprost is used to reduce intraocular pressure in individuals with narrow angle glaucoma, intraocular hypertension, or other eye diseases. This eye drops is also used to treat hypotrichosis of the eyelashes, which increases its thickness, length, and darkness. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
What is the recommended dosage of Bimatoprost?
The dosage of Bimatoprost prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.
Bimatoprost is usually recommended to be used once a day in the evening.
What if you miss a dose of Bimatoprost?
If your physician has instructed or directed you to apply Bimatoprost medication in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses unless otherwise directed.
What if you overdose on Bimatoprost?
Any medication taken in excess can have serious consequences. If overdose of Latisse is suspected, flush your eyes with warm water immediately. Seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Bimatoprost can be absorbed by contact lenses. Hence, before using the eye drops, contact lenses need to be removed and it can be reinserted after 15 minutes. You need to leave a 5-minute interval between the use of Bimatoprost and another eye medication. Bimatoprost may temporarily cause blurred vision. Hence, immediately after application of this eye drops, do not drive or operate machinery.
