What does Clomipramine treat?

Clomipramine is a tricyclic antidepressant prescribed for those suffering from obsessive–compulsive disorder which makes them carry out repetitive behaviors and generates recurrent thoughts. This medication alters the chemicals in the brain and helps to decrease obsessive thoughts and acts. Your physician may use this to treat other ailments based on their discretion.

Possible Side Effects

Clomipramine might have some side effects but it’s not possible to anticipate them. It does not have any major side effects and the minor ones that may occur are temporary. In rare cases, there might be major side effects and immediate medical attention must be sought.

Some of the possible side effects could be dizziness, indigestion, constipation, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea and tremors. Serious side effects that could occur are chest pain, depression, sudden headache, excess urination, fainting and vision problems. This is not the complete list though.
