What does Clonidine treat?
Clonidine is a medication used in the treatment of high blood pressure or hypertension. Classified as a central alpha agonist, this works in the brain by relaxing blood vessels ensuring that blood flow is made easier. Lowering the blood pressure helps prevent other serious conditions such as strokes, heart attacks and kidney problems. It also treats attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety disorders, migraines, tic disorders and withdrawal symptoms from addictions. Your physician may use this to treat other ailments based on their discretion.
