What does Cyproterone Acetate–Ethinyl Estradiol treat?
Cyproterone Acetate–Ethinyl Estradiol is a combination medication comprising Cyproterone Acetate (anti-androgen) and Ethinyl Estradiol (estrogen). This is a medication prescribed to treat severe acne in women who have not found other treatments effective. This is also prescribed for hirsutism (excess hair growth) in women and acts as a contraceptive too. Your physician may use this to treat other ailments based on their discretion.
Follow the Cyproterone Acetate–Ethinyl Estradiol dosage prescribed by your physician. The dosage could vary based on individual patient requirements. Always follow your physician’s instructions or go by the directions on the prescription drug label. Make sure you have it with a whole glass of water.
Missed a dose?
In case you missed a dose, take it if you remember within 12 hours. However, if over 12 hours have passed, avoid the missed tablet and continue with the remaining tablets at the usual time prescribed. Never double the doses to make up for a missed dose.

Possible Side Effects
Cyproterone Acetate–Ethinyl Estradiol might have some side effects but it’s not possible to anticipate them. It does not have any major side effects and the minor ones that may occur are temporary. In rare cases, there might be major side effects and immediate medical attention must be sought.
Some of the side effects could be as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, abdominal cramps, headache, decrease in sexual desire and breast tenderness. This is not the complete list though.
