Diamox (Acetazolamide)

Diamox (Acetazolamide) is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, which is prescribed to treat various diseases including certain types of seizures, altitude sickness, glaucoma, cystinuria, benign intracranial hypertension, and dural ectasia. Diamox is also used to treat other conditions as determined by your health physician.

Take Diamox with a full glass of water. It should be taken with food if it upsets your stomach.

Missed Dose of Diamox

If your physician has instructed or directed you to take Diamox medication in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses unless otherwise directed.
