Haloperidol

Haloperidol is an antipsychotic medication used to treat certain types of mental disorders such as schizophrenia. It is also used to control motor and speech tics related to Tourette's disorder; to control severe behavioral problems in hyperactive children; and to reduce negative thoughts, hallucinations, and explosive or aggressive behavior. This medication works by changing the actions of chemicals in your brain.

Take Haloperidol with food or milk if stomach upset occurs.

Missed Dose of Haloperidol

If your physician has instructed or directed you to take Haloperidol medication in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses unless otherwise directed.
