Hydralazine

Hydralazine is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). This oral medication is a vasodilator that works by relaxing blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Hydralazine helps blood to flow more easily through the veins and arteries.

The dosage of Hydralazine prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.

Hydralazine can be taken with or without food.

Missed Dose of Hydralazine

If your physician has instructed or directed you to take Hydralazine medication in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses unless otherwise directed.

Overdose of Hydralazine
