Hydrea (Hydroxyurea) is indicated for sickle cell anemia, which reduces painful episodes associated with the disease. This medication reduces the need for blood transfusions as well. It is also used in the treatment of several types of cancers such as melanoma, chronic myelocytic leukemia, ovary cancer, and squamous cell carcinomas.

Recommended Dosage - Discount Prescription Drug Hydrea

The dosage of Hydrea prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.

Hydrea can be taken with or without food. Take each dose with a full glass of water.

Missed Dose of Hydrea

If your physician has instructed or directed you to take Hydrea medication in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses unless otherwise directed.

Overdose of Hydrea

Any medication taken in excess can have serious consequences. If you suspect an overdose of Hydrea, seek medical attention immediately.

Side Effects of Hydrea
