Ibandronate Sodium is prescribed to treat as well as prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. It is a bisphosphonate medicine that slows bone loss while increasing bone mineral density, which not only help prevent bone fractures but also help maintain strong bones.
Recommended Dosage – Discount Prescription Drug Ibandronate Sodium
The dosage of Ibandronate Sodium prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.
Missed Dose of Ibandronate Sodium
If your physician has instructed or directed you to take Ibandronate Sodium medication once daily first thing in the morning and you have missed the dose, do not take it later in the same day. Skip the missed dose and take the medicine the following morning. Do not take two tablets in one day.
Overdose of Ibandronate Sodium
Any medication taken in excess can have serious consequences. If you suspect an overdose of Ibandronate Sodium, seek medical attention immediately. Some of the overdose symptoms of this drug are heartburn, nausea, irritability, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and muscle cramps.
