This is an is an oral contraceptive (birth control pill). It is a combination hormonal medication comprising female hormones Levonorgestrel (progestin) and Ethinyl estradiol (estrogen). This prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation and making vaginal fluid thicker which does not allow the sperm to penetrate. Your physician may use this to treat other ailments based on their discretion.

Possible Side Effects

Levonorgestrel-Ethinyl Estradiol might have some side effects but it’s not possible to anticipate them. It does not have any major side effects and the minor ones that may occur are temporary. In rare cases, there might be major side effects and immediate medical attention must be sought.

Some of the side effects could be diarrhea, dizziness, nausea, headache, vomiting, weight change, cramps and irregular vaginal bleeding.
