Loperamide

Loperamide is used to treat diarrhea. Besides traveler’s diarrhea, Loperamide is also used to treat acute diarrhea associated with irritable bowel syndrome. It works by slowing down the rhythm of digestion, which makes the stool less watery. This medicine is also used to reduce the amount of stool in individuals who have undergone an ileostomy.

Recommended Dosage - Discount Prescription Drug Loperamide

The dosage of Loperamide prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.

Take Loperamide with a full glass of water.

Missed Dose of Loperamide

If your physician has instructed or directed you to take Loperamide medication in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses unless otherwise directed.
