What is Medroxyprogesterone used for?
Medroxyprogesterone is a type of female hormone (progestin) used to restore normal menstrual periods in premenopausal women (amenorrhea). It is also used to treat abnormal bleeding from the uterus and to prevent endometrial hyperplasia in postmenopausal women who have not undergone a hysterectomy. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
