Alembic gets USFDA nod for Fluoxetine capsules
Alembic, a leading pharmaceutical company in India, announced that it has received an approval for a new drug, Fluoxetine from United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA).
The said generic drug would be available in capsules form in the strengths of 10 mg, 20 mg and 40 mg respectively.
Fluoxetine is used to treat major depressive disorder, bulimia nervosa (an eating disorder) obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).
