AstraZeneca gets USFDA nod for Arimidex tabletsPosted AtMyiris.comThe Anglo-Swedish drugmaker, AstraZeneca has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market Arimidex tablets, in the strength of 1 mg. Arimidex is used to treat Breast Cancer in postmenopausal Women. It lowers estrogen levels in postmenopausal women, which may slow the growth of certain types of breast tumors that need estrogen to grow in the body. AstraZeneca Pharma India is a subsidiary of AstraZeneca and has interests in six crucial areas of healthcare - cardiovascular, respiratory, maternal healthcare, oncology, infection and pain control & anaesthesia.
