AstraZeneca gets USFDA nod for Arimidex tablets
The Anglo-Swedish drugmaker, AstraZeneca has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market Arimidex tablets, in the strength of 1 mg.
Arimidex is used to treat breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It lowers estrogen levels in postmenopausal women, which may slow the growth of certain types of breast tumors that need estrogen to grow in the body.
