See your doctor if you have these symptoms
When it comes to your health, it’s important to see the doctor at the right time. Sometimes, getting to the doctor on time can make the difference between life and death. Here are some symptoms you must never ignore.
Most of us have headaches and they are usually not serious. However, if you have a very rapid onset headache that feels like a thunderclap, it’s important to rush to ER. This could be a sign of bleeding in your brain or a stroke. Age also matters. If you are over 50 and have been having migraine headaches frequently and find that there’s something new to your headaches, schedule and appointment with the doctor.
Sometimes sudden hearing loss can be the result of ear wax or water in the ear, once these causes are eliminated and it persists, it’s important to check with the doctor to ascertain the cause. It could be a sign of multiple sclerosis or even stroke.
Stomach bloating and pain
If your weight has not increased and you still find that your stomach looks bigger, time to do a check. Besides bloating, if you feel a gnawing pain in the top middle part of your abdomen, don’t ignore it, this can point to a gastric ulcer. If you experience pain in the right lower part of your abdomen in addition to bloating, this may be a symptom of appendicitis. Watch out to see if you get a fever too. Nausea, diarrhea, unexplained weight loss and fullness that prevents you from eating could be a sign of cancer.
Having trouble urinating?
Try drinking water and if this does not work, see a doctor. This may be due to nerve damage from a tumor or herniated disk.
You could have dizziness due to a variety of reasons such as vertigo and dehydration. Dizziness coupled with bleeding could be serious. If dizziness gets worse, when you turn your head from side to side, it may be due to a neurological problem and the same applies to a very sudden episode of dizziness. To make sure this is not a stroke, visit the ER.
