Bad habits that make you age faster!
All of us want to be younger for longer. However, most of us have lifestyle or food habits that actually contribute to making us age faster. How can you get out of this? The answer lies in first becoming aware of them and then working on them.
Eating junk food
Many of us still continue our college food habits such as living off burgers, pizzas, ice-creams and soda. These can put you on the fast track to aging through disorders such as high cholesterol or high blood pressure. The reason is that these are chock-a-block with saturated and trans fats which increase LDL cholesterol which clogs arteries, blocks blood flow and damages blood vessels causing inflammation.
If you are going through constant stress, this is bound to age you faster. Stress affects your body in many ways; it can cause memory loss, weight gain high blood pressure, weaken your immune system and so on. It even affects your skin badly, making you get wrinkles soon.
Your friends are online mostly
If you are the type who’s seeing your friends mostly online, you’ll be surprised that even this can be a factor that ages you faster! If you do not have close friends or family in real life, this lack of close connections can put you in poor health.
Cutting down on sleep
If you are getting less than six to nine hours of sleep at night, this will throw your hormones off balance. Your appetite-regulating hormones will go awry and you will tend to eat more and gain weight. This has been associated with heart disease and stroke.
Are you the couch potato type?
If you are spending most of your time on the couch or sitting down at work, this can be quite detrimental to the body. If you are getting little or no exercise, this immediately puts you at greater risk for heart disease, cancer, diabetes and other health issues.
