You may not even realize it but these extremely common foods can create havoc in your stomach. Some of the offenders are everyday foods you might even be having on an everyday basis.
These are a hot favorite with those who want to cut down on calories or those who have diabetes. However, many are oblivious to the fact that these usually contain ingredients such as aspartame, sucralose, and saccharin that make changes in the gut bacteria which results in gastrointestinal problems.
Many of us can truly wake up only with this boost of caffeine but it tends to speed up the digestive tract and can lead to diarrhea. It also induces the stomach to produce hydrochloric acid and this leads to heartburn and indigestion. If you find that you are having such problems, cut down your intake to just one cup of coffee a day.
Though cruciferous veggies are rich in vitamins, they contain complex sugars that can be tough for your digestive system to break down. The result would be indigestion, bloating, upset stomach and gas.

Sometimes the exact opposite can also happen. These can also make you feel bloated and full besides having the capacity to cause constipation.
Acidic foods such as tomato sauce, and citrus fruits, like lemons, limes, oranges, and grapefruits, can aggravate digestive problems if you are already suffering from them.
