India Dr Reddy's gets FDA nod for osteoporosis drugPosted AtReuters.comMUMBAI, Aug 11 (Reuters) - Indian drugmaker Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd (REDY.BO: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) (RDY.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) has received approval from the U.S. Federal Drug Administration to make and market alendronate sodium tablets, the regulator's website showed. The drug, a generic version of Merck's (MRK.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) Fosamax tablets, is indicated in the treatment of osteoporosis.
