Setting up of Indian national
authority on drugs and therapeutics

The Indian Task Force under the Chairmanship
of Dr. Pronab Sen, Principal Advisor , Planning Commission
has recommended, inter-alia, to establish a National
Authority on Drugs and Therapeutics (NADT) as a long
term objective. This would integrate the offices of
the Drug Controller General (India), the Central Drugs
Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) and the National
Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) along with all
the powers and functions of these bodies.
