How to stay younger for longer
Everyone wants to stay young for as long as they can. The good news is that with some care you can stay looking and feeling younger by making sure your body works in peak condition. Here are some easy lifestyle changes that can help.
A younger-looking face
Rub a few ice cubes on your face for a minute. It chills the skin and slowing down metabolic activity that leads to aging. Once you remove the ice, your blood moves to the skin’s surface and this clears away many of the toxins that cause wrinkles.
Work exercise into your routine
It’s great if you can get into a daily workout routine. However, whether you are able to do this or not, you must make sure that you get exercise during your day. Take the stairs instead of the elevator and walk small distances rather than using a vehicle. Even 15 minutes goes a long way in anti-aging.
Relook your diet
Get a big salad for lunch. Make sure there are plenty of greens and add to them a rainbow of colorful veggies from carrots, tomatoes to yellow peppers. These give you plenty of antioxidants that prevent the formation of free radicals that hasten the aging process. Free radicals come from pollution, smoking, UV rays and so on and these damage skin cells.
Sip on green tea. Green tea has been proved to reduce wrinkles that are a result of sun damage and also provide protection against certain types of cancers. Omega-3 fatty acids are good for your heart and help keep dementia away.
Dancing is not just good exercise, it also improves your brain power and lowers the chances of getting dementia. So, dance your way to a younger self!
Try a massage
Massage yourself with a foam roller to release muscle tension, this also helps to break up the fascia or tissue surrounding the muscle fibers. This increases blood flow to your muscles and makes your movements easy. You could also get one done by a professional now and then.
