Bring down your stress quickly!
Modern lifestyle by its very nature can cause a lot of stress. Prolonged stress can bring on various medical conditions such as hypertension, heart disease and so on. Here are some tested techniques that can bring down stress quickly.
You’ll be surprised at how effective this technique is to relieve stress. All you need to do is pick up a warm heat wrap and place it around the neck and shoulders for 10 minutes. The gently, close your eyes. Start by relaxing your face, then neck, upper chest, and back muscles. Take off the wrap and then go for a tennis ball or foam roller to massage away tension.
Switch on the music
This is probably something you already knew but now there’s research to back it up! Listening to soothing music has clearly been known to lower blood pressure, heart rate, and anxiety. Go for music that appeals to you, nature sounds such as brooks babbling and birds chirping are great.
Deep breathing is a surefire way to lower stress. To get this right, make sure you sit straight, close your eyes and place a hand on your belly. Slowly, inhale through your nose and feeling your breath beginning from your abdomen and move to the top of your head. Reverse this and then exhale through your mouth. Repeat this a couple of times, you will feel the stress leave.
Speak to trusted friends or family
It’s always good to let off steam by speaking to friends or family about what is bothering you. Not only will this give you an outlet, it may also throw up a solution.
