Indian Based Strides Arcolab Gets Nod From US For Muscle Relaxation Injection
India based Strides Arcolab gets approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for selling muscle relaxant injection called Vecuronium Bromide in the US market.
Vecuronium Bromide is said to be used during surgery for muscle relaxation.
Strides Arcolab is an India based pharmaceutical company, headquartered at Bangalore and is into manufacturing pharmaceutical products including capsules, injections, and hard-gel capsules among others.
The company is reported to have business partners in United States, Canada and Europe. Besides, it is manufacturing and supplying pharma products in Australia and New Zealand.
The sanction allows the company’s injections with 10mg and 20 mg of Vecuronium Bromide per vial (a small glass bottle), sources said.
It is reported that the medicine is to be launched shortly under the joint venture between Strides and Akron.
Reports say that the approval is the latest one among the eight approvals obtained from US health supervisory body in 2010.
