Thiamine or Vitamin B1 is a vitamin that’s not discussed much yet it’s very important for the body to properly utilize carbohydrates and make the nerves function properly. This is a water-soluble vitamin and so your body does not store quantities of it for long periods of time. Here are some silent signs that you could be deficient in the vitamin.
Weak muscles & weight loss
When there is a lack of thiamine in the diet, the metabolism of glucose is impacted. This may end up in problems such as memory loss, loss of appetite, muscle weakness, fatigue, and weight loss.
Lack of hunger

Exhaustion and memory problems
Thiamine is required for various enzymes necessary that are necessary for glucose metabolism in the brain. Fatigue and mental confusion can be a result of this.
Chronic alcohol drinking reduces thiamine absorption. Lot of thiamine is also used up for alcohol metabolism and lots of it is lost in urine. If you have a drinking problem, it’s important to get yourself tested for thiamine deficiency.
