    Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor used to relieve symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease. This medication is also prescribed for the treatment of other conditions caused by excess stomach acid production such as ulcers and Zollinger–Ellison syndrome. Omeprazole works by reducing the production of stomach acid.

Omeprazole

Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor used to relieve symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease. This medication is also prescribed for the treatment of other conditions caused by excess stomach acid production such as ulcers and Zollinger–Ellison syndrome. Omeprazole works by reducing the production of stomach acid.

Recommended Dosage - Discount Prescription Drug Omeprazole

The dosage of Omeprazole prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.

Missed Dose of Omeprazole

If your physician has instructed or directed you to take Omeprazole medication in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses unless otherwise directed.
