What does Quinine treat?

Quinine treats Malaria which is caused by a parasite that enters the red blood cells. It works by killing it and preventing growth of these parasites. Quinine is classified under the list of anti-malarials and is a highly effective drug.

Quinine might have some side effects but it’s not possible to anticipate them. It does not have any major side effects and the minor ones that may occur are temporary. In rare cases, there might be major side effects and immediate medical attention must be sought.

Some of the side effects could be headache, unusual sweating, blurred vision, ringing in the ears, dizziness, nervousness, diarrhea, sweating, low blood sugar and stomach pain. Besides these, there could be other side effects too.
