Tamoxifen

Tamoxifen is an anti-estrogen medication used in the treatment and prevention of breast cancer. This medication treats breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. Tamoxifen blocks the action of estrogen in the breast tissue.

The dosage of Tamoxifen prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.

Tamoxifen can be taken by mouth with or without food.

Missed Dose of Tamoxifen

If your physician has instructed or directed you to take Tamoxifen medication in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses unless otherwise directed.

Overdose of Tamoxifen

Side Effects of Tamoxifen
