Terazosin

Terazosin is prescribed to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate). Terazosin relaxes and expands blood vessels, thereby improving blood flow. Also, by relaxing muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, Terazosin makes it easier to urinate. It belongs to a group of drugs called alpha-adrenergic blockers.

The dosage of Terazosin prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.

Take Terazosin with a full glass of water.

Missed Dose of Terazosin

If your physician has instructed or directed you to take Terazosin medication in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses unless otherwise directed.

Overdose of Terazosin

Any medication taken in excess can have serious consequences. If you suspect an overdose of Terazosin, seek medical attention immediately.

Side Effects of Terazosin
