Generic for Aciphex* (Rabeprazole Sodium) is a proton pump inhibitor used to relieve symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease such as heartburn. Rabeprazole Sodium is also prescribed for the short-term treatment of inflammation in the esophagus, duodenal ulcers, and Zollinger–Ellison syndrome.
