What is Azathioprine 50mg used for?

Azathioprine 50mg is an immunosuppressant used to prevent rejection of a kidney transplant. This medicine works by lowering the body's immune system, which helps your body to accept the new kidney. It is also used to treat symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
