What is Balsalazide used for?

Balsalazide is an anti-inflammatory drug used to treat ulcerative colitis (inflammatory bowel disease). It treats the symptoms of ulcerative colitis such as stomach pain, diarrhea, and rectal bleeding. Balsalazide works by decreasing inflammation in the colon. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
