depigmenting iamge

Depigmenting is a treatment for the loss of pigment of your skin. Loss of skin pigment can either be complete or partial. Complete loss is due to a condition called vitiligo; here again, this can be either permanent (albinism) or temporary. On the other hand, partial loss of skin pigment occurs due to injuries on skin. Depigmentation aims to remove such skin conditions by the use of depigmenting agents. It is a good thing to more about perfect clean depigmenting in greater detail.

Due to a few autoimmune conditions like vitiligo your skin may lose its pigmentation. This loss manifests as a damage or loss of pigment-making cells (known as melanocytes) of the skin. As a result, your skin may appear bleached with light patches. It can be disabling to those who have darker skin. This is quite common among people living in India and in some regions of China. Genetic makeup – especially, family history of skin-based autoimmune conditions is largely attributed to its onset.

Topical corticosteroids to perfect clean depigmenting – These drugs work as anti-inflammatory agents as well as immunosuppressants. Potency of such drugs depend on the quantum that actually enters into the affected cells; efficacy also depends on extent of absorption of topical corticosteroids applied onto your skin. Most widely used drugs in this genre are clobetasol propionate, betamethasone-dipropionate, hydrocortisone, etc. The aforesaid belong to the highly potent genre of topical corticosteroids used for treating depigmentation. There are a few milder versions of these drugs viz., hydrocortisone-acetate as well as hydrocortisone. These steroidal meds may trigger a few side effects; if you encounter adverse effects such as thinning down of skin, stretch-marks at sites of application, added thickness of hair, etc., you are advised to consult your skin doctor without any further delay.
