Generic for Combivir* (Lamivudine–Zidovudine) is used to treat HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection. This drug is a combination of two antiviral drugs (Lamivudine and Zidovudine), which belong to a group of medicines called reverse transcriptase inhibitors. It helps decrease the amount of HIV that causes AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) in your body. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
