What is Granisetron used for?
Granisetron is an anti-emetic medication used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer drug treatment (chemotherapy and radiation therapy). It belongs to the class of medications called 5-HT3 receptor antagonists. This medicine works by blocking a natural substance in the body called serotonin, which can cause nausea and vomiting.
