What is Generic for Ibandronate used for?

Ibandronate injection is used to treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. It is also used to reduce high calcium levels (hypercalcemia) in people with cancer. Ibandronate is in a class of medications called bisphosphonates. This medicine slows bone loss while increasing bone mineral density. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
