What is Mifegest used for?

Mifegest is used to end an early pregnancy that is less than 49 days in duration. It is in a class of medications called antiprogestational steroids. It works by blocking the action of progesterone in your body, which is necessary to continue your pregnancy. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
