Leucovorin Calcium 15mg is used to prevent harmful effects of certain drugs (folic acid antagonists) such as methotrexate, trimethoprim, and pyrimethamine. It belongs to a class of medications called folic acid analogs. This medicine reduces the folic-acid-lowering side effects of methotrexate or similar medications by protecting healthy cells from their effects. It is also used to treat a condition known as megaloblastic anemia. This drug is used in combination with fluorouracil to treat cancer of the colon as well. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
What is the recommended dosage of Leucovorin Calcium?
