What is Pemetrexed used for?
Pemetrexed is a chemotherapy injection used to treat two types of lung cancers: non-small cell lung cancer and mesothelioma, a rare cancer associated with asbestos exposure. This cancer medication works by slowing the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
What is the recommended dosage of Pemetrexed?
The dosage of Pemetrexed prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.
What if you miss a dose of Pemetrexed?
If your physician has instructed or directed you to receive Pemetrexed injection in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, call your doctor as soon as possible.
What if you overdose on Pemetrexed?
Any medication taken in excess can have serious consequences. If you suspect an overdose of Pemetrexed, seek medical attention immediately.
