What is Ramipril 5mg used for?

Ramipril 5mg is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and congestive heart failure. It belongs to a group of drugs called ACE inhibitors, which reduces the chances of heart attack and stroke, improves survival after a heart attack, and prevents kidney failure due to high blood pressure and diabetes. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

What are the side effects of Ramipril 5mg?

Like other medicines, Ramipril 5mg can cause some side effects. If they do occur, the side effects of Ramipril are most likely to be minor and temporary. However, some may be serious and may require the individual to inform the doctor or visit the nearest hospital immediately.
