Generic for Ranexa* (Ranolazine) is an anti-anginal medication prescribed to treat chronic angina. The symptoms of angina are discomfort and pain in the chest, which is caused by inadequate blood flow in the heart. Ranolazine is an extended release anti-ischemic drug that helps in reducing the angina attacks by improving the flow of blood in the heart. This medicine works without lowering the blood pressure levels. It is used in combination with amlodipine, beta-blockers or nitrates. In particular, Generic for Ranexa* is prescribed for the chronic angina patients who have not responded to the angina therapy given initially. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
What is the recommended dosage of Generic for Ranexa*?
The dosage of Generic for Ranexa* prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label. The following dosage information includes the common dose of Generic for Ranexa*. If your dose is different, do not follow the dosage described below unless your physician has approved.
