What is Ribavirin used for?
Ribavirin is an antiviral medication prescribed to treat chronic hepatitis C infection. It is used in combination with interferon drugs such as Peg-Intron or Intron A. This oral medication works by reducing the amount of hepatitis C virus in your body. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
What is the recommended dosage of Ribavirin?
The dosage of Ribavirin prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.
Ribavirin can be taken with or without food.
What if you miss a dose of Ribavirin?
