Important Update: Changes to International Prescription Shipments to the United States

Updated September 9, 2026

If you rely on an international pharmacy for affordable prescription medication, we recommend reviewing your upcoming medication needs and placing refill requests well in advance.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has introduced changes to the rules governing international mail shipments, including the suspension of duty-free de minimis treatment and the introduction of new postal entry procedures. These changes may affect the processing, cost, and delivery of international shipments to the United States.

What Is Changing?

The updated requirements may result in additional duties, customs processing requirements, and delivery delays for qualifying international mail shipments.

Prescription medications are also subject to U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements. In most circumstances, importing prescription drugs purchased outside the United States is restricted, and eligibility depends on the medication, applicable regulations, and individual circumstances.

Because these requirements may affect international prescription shipments, customers should not assume that an order will be cleared or delivered under the same conditions as before.

Plan Your Medication Needs Early

If you have upcoming refills or expect to need medication in the coming months, please review your requirements as early as possible.

We recommend that you:

  • Review your current medication supply.
  • Plan upcoming refill requests in advance.
  • Allow additional time for prescription review, dispensing, shipping, and customs processing.
  • Monitor shipment updates and respond promptly if additional information is requested.

Please note that placing an order does not guarantee customs clearance or delivery, as shipments remain subject to applicable U.S. laws and regulatory requirements.

Stay Informed

We understand that changes affecting international medication shipments may create uncertainty for customers who depend on affordable treatment options.

We will continue monitoring official updates from CBP and other relevant authorities and will share additional information as it becomes available.

For the latest regulatory information, please refer to the official CBP guidance and the FDA’s information regarding the importation of prescription medications.
