What is Vildagliptin–Metformin used for?
Vildagliptin–Metformin is prescribed to help control blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes (non-insulin-dependent diabetes). This combination medication is used in type 2 diabetes patients whose blood sugar is not controlled by the maximum tolerated dose of oral Metformin alone or by the treatment with Vildagliptin and Metformin as separate tablets. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
What is the recommended dosage of Vildagliptin–Metformin?
The dosage of Vildagliptin–Metformin prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.
Vildagliptin–Metformin should be taken with or after food.
